I don't want to be identified with any group that has a broader agenda of criticism. I respect your right and responsibility to pursue your agenda as you think best, but want my very different critique to be separate and DSM 5 focused.

Here's a list of articles on the DSM-5 Allen Frances has written at Psychology Today on the DSM-5.
It appears he dumped the "anti-psychiatry" label onto MindFreedom re the APA Occupy event. What a shame, considering so many people participated, such as Jim Gottstein, Attorney and person responsible for bringing the internal ZYprexa documents to the public--Robert Whitaker, author of 'Anatomy of an Epidemic', David Oaks, from MindFreedom, and countless others (hundreds).
It seems Frances appears to be an ally, until he needed to save face, or stand on the fence, or in other words, lose credibility as a opposition to the DSM5 and what it means for psychiatry. Does he oppose people living successfully off of medications for decades? does he oppose Jim Gottstein or David Oaks or countless others, living free from medication, and who were once labeled with a 'schizophrenia' diagnoses?

MindFreedom stands for CHOICE, they held a great non-violent protest which countless people attended. Why the desire to distance from such a group? does this mean Frances and his cronies, in spite of the DSM 5 debacle remain as a whole, a unit, a united force? does this surprise anyone?
